The following post is not for the faint of heart.
I guess there's nothing to say here. He's gone. It was shocking that he came down with a disease so bad. I have no idea of the identity of that disease. All I know is, that it caused Shiro to suffer massively.
This started around Friday when he didn't come out of its hiding place for the whole day. On Saturday evening, he popped his head out of the hole, and to my despair, his eyes were bleeding. No doubt about it he's gone blind. He was still breathing. I only could seperate Fuji from it and could give him personal water and food.
On Sunday, after I came back from LOUD 2008, he had switched position as shown in the picture. He was suffering as he was struggling to breathe and his tail has been lengthen and twitched. His whole bottom and anus has been swollen and turned black. He was twitching around in pain, his legs had stiffened and there was no point going to a vet.
On Monday morning, I woke up pretty late. To my knowledge, Shiro had passed away. He stopped breathing when the whole house hold was asleep. I'll miss you, Shiro!

I've been having this cage for 8 weeks now.. with Shiro and Fuji of course. And goodness.. it is so damn hard to clean!
One thing's for sure.. its hard to take out them. That's why I haven't properly hold em yet. Every time I try to get hold of them, since the opening is so damn big.. they think smart and try to get out. And that's why..
I push them back in and they get a shock of their hamster life. They remain in a position for around 1 minute as if they seen Michael Jackson in a bathing suit.
If you like to decorate your house.. this hamster cage would suit you well. And one thing's for sure.. it doesn't mess up the house as it is plastic and the husk can't be flicked out.
I think my hamsters like the long tubes.. and they sure enjoy the Transport Unit.
The water bottle is the worst issue. For one, the water leaks out all the time and they think its a toilet. So they pee all the time there.
Secondly, they can't even drink from there. It's actually meant for dwarf hamsters. So.. since the water leaks, they drink that water right under the bottle that is mixed with their pee.
So I am never going back to Pet Family to get pet advice because..
They advised me that Syrian hamsters could be housed together but they generally can't because they are solitary animals.
They advised me the OVO cage is good for Syrian hamsters.
My supplies manage to last me 2 months.. now its running out. I don't like my hamsters.
I have quite clumsy hands actually, although im a photographer. I startle and traumatize my hamsters.
Wouldn't dwarf hamsters be better? My hamsters are like.. sleeping most of the time.. and dwarfs are so much more active, plus faster.
So in conclusion.. I need a answer?? Any hamster advice? =p

For the past two days, Fuji has been growing a lump near its anus (balls). It has barely been moving, either than getting food, has not been it's own self, and been staying in one corner.
Shiro has been moving and eating like normal, but its been sneezing and coughing alot.
Do they have a disease? I think Fuji has a tumor and Shiro has pnuemia. I hope they don't die!
If they do, Im gonna get winter white hamsters. But not from the pet store, Ill buy from a breeder!
Cikgu Mohd Nor!! You got a lot of hamsters right? Can sell to me some winter white hamsters?? Please?

One week ago, Sera received this 2 hammies, 1 male 1 female and pregnant. She gave birth to 7 babies etc etc. So I was chatting with it with my mum and was complaining very bored and stuff, so decided to go pet store !!
Recommendation from Sera, Pet Family near Ming Tian and MegaHerbs there was where she bought her replacement hamsters. So we went there on Wednesday.. so cute hamsters !!!! Just wanna squezzzz them. So we were saying like looks good but the thing bout the "stuff". So we decided to give it a pause.
Today we went to NN Pet House at Uptown and boy, its dirty, hot, and smelly! They keep their hamsters next to a filthy toilet! But they did had a cage got the shit tray thingy so they explain bla bla bla. It damn painful to the hamster wei.. So went back to Pet Family.
And.. we got it! Two NEW SYRIAN HAMSTERS! SHINJI AND FUJI!! Shinji very naughty, while Fuji likes to sleep and dun hesitate wurn.. Both look alike, only differences are the ear color. Will post pictures later.
For those who can't reconise japanese names, both of them are guys.
