Obsession.

Settled. I thought, as I changed to a reserve. No more peer pressure, no more mockery of physical weakness. But noo, as God put it somehow that someone just had to not show up. Stumbling down to the field while trying to hook on my number, I thought to myself feelings of embarrassment and disappointment. So I ran just for the sake of running, not like I could be any faster than anybody else. I wondered, why didn't the 3rd runner start to jog? I asked, like it was my fault.

Later, the 3rd runner scolded me in the stands, blamed me for the decrease of speed I put upon us. Insults, not a word of encouragement. Sakit jiwa, I thought. As he sat down and still had that mentality in mind, I knew this horrible team philosophy is like, you know, bad. With the little amount of 100plus I had holding in my hands, I sat down in front of him and splashed him right in the face.

"Wake up" I said. "Winning isn't everything".

Him, completely shocked, I continued, "Its the experience you get, giving your best try is the best thing anyone can do". Or something like that. He then put up a fight (words, I mean), and compared a 4x100m run in a school to the Olympics and Michael Phelps. His words, "people don't remember you if you get silver or bronze, its GOLD".

..

I think I come to a point in my life where I'm sick of this mentality which I had. Winning, achievements, posts. Expectations are for ourselves, not anyone else. As long as we gained something from it, it's good enough. Trials and errors can a person go through, but he can't conquer the world.

So what if there's no victory? I would like to think there's victory in our brains, cheering for new experience gained. Then again, who said the brain was any less than the body? Brain-ers, how often pubble down achievements to others. The tongue is sharper than the sword, no less.

My point is today, that I'm done with all these obsessions. A step forward in life and I should never take this mentality up again.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." :)

Sigh, what do I say about this guy either than the fact that he looks almost the same since he was 10?!

Completely obsessed with Arsenal and Harry Potter at that moment, his two emails are gunnersrox_96@hotmail.com and hogwarts_aaron@yahoo.com. He always took that Harry Potter book in the library during reading time :)

And may I say, he's been the best friend I have, being with me through the ups and downs of life, not to mention withstanding my overweightness when I feel on him during futsal!

Always reminding me on what homework that were to be done, I'v been saved by him so many times I can recognize his handwriting anywhere lol. LOL. Once I got my braces, he flashes his marvelous teeth to show of at me. He also has this obsession that he's fat although he's SO SKINNY ALREADY.

He also has been with me to be the two thorns among the roses all the time :P In 2008, I thought both of us would be going to different schools, but that didn't happen! No words can describe how much I appreciate him for being a true best friend all this while. But today, I would just like to say,

Happy Birthday Aaron Sanjay Dass :)

and I'm so sorry I fallen sick on your birthday and can't torment you with flour and water after school! I can't wait to see how both of us grow in time to come :D

A while ago, in 2008, I had a blog post ranting if I should become a prefect or not. And my brother commented on it,

Until this year, I didn't really get what it means (HAHA, what a first post for 2010!). I know I'v left my blog for so long. Heh. So some updates! :
  • 2 Angsana 2010!
  • Ex pengerusi tingkatan!
  • Bendahari Maju! (skip classness :D)
  • In KarateDo last minute! Absss.
  • Nostalgia :)
  • Pengerusi Robotik -.-
  • CF camittee! assistant worship coordinator 2 :P
Yes, EX dah pun. I stepped down on Friday, and got replaced by Shannon on Monday. Reason? Well, one of it is cause I'm so sick of it already ._. But I let go of my Pencegah Ponteng D:

Secondly, I don't want to have tension in class, since I'm quite tension everywhere else! So kan, referring to my brother's comment, I am officially avoiding all disciplinary posts! After all my previous positions (pfft -.-), most of it were quite a waste of time, if not only contributed to building my character. HUHUH.

And, my personal goal (cheh haha), is to bring a positive impact on everyone I meet, to change for the better!

//

I got soo pissed of yesterday. Snugglewugglepuffpuffness I want proper debate! How do you expect half a class to debate with half a class -.- It's so tiring lately, and quote Alycia, "everything's so hectic" :(

Back to homework >;(

10 New Year Resolutions

0

Written on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 by Jason Wee

Much of with tons of unedited pictures (I am soooo sorry!) and school preparations, I should do this blog post of, 10 resolutions for 2010!

Number 10

Sigh, although I really hate saying this, but, I NEED TO LEARN CHINESE. Wo Pu Hui Ciang Hua YI!!

Number 9

Illustrator Skills.

I would be lying if I said Adobe Illustrator hasn't been my back up for the past 2 years now. Illustrator, is also useful when it comes to design, and has triggered the artistic side of me. Which I now know, isn't my niche. But nevertheless! I still can improve in it! Logos are FTW :)

Number 8

Money Control.

GAHH. I almost went broke this Christmas. I really need to learn how to record my spending, like how I did last year. So I must be more kiamsiap, and save .. maybe to buy something related to to 6 or 7. :P

Number 7

You wouldn't believe this but, fashion.

HAHA TOO MUCH RIGHT. Some of you have saw me with my new pair of pants, which my brother says, is back from the 50's. For this aspect in my life, I gratefully, need advice. Of which, must find cheap clothing too! How would a fedora match?

Number 6

Music Skills.

This has come up pretty recently, due to Tianxi and Friends. Currently, I am obsessing about learning to harmonize. EEESH! During Alycia's session in Impact camp, my guitar was horrible :( Must improve!

Number 5

Bible Knowledge.

Aish, every time I want to quote a verse, it just can't get out, or I can't land on the right one! This is a definite area in need of improvement.

Number 4

Studies.

Before I got really involved in CF and all, one of my main goals for the holidays was to study ahead for ASEAN scholarship. But of course, it did not happen =\. In fact, I haven't even started on my Form 2 cause I'v been to camp after camp! I must not neglect my studies, how to become PM like that? :-)

Number 3

Friendships.

I cannot count the number of friends I made this year. It is frankly so hard to keep track! Thank God for sending Facebook! From school to camps to church, terlampau sangat! I would have never expect to get so close with friends from other states! *hinthintwinkwink* And who knows, even other countries next time, for that matter!

But I also have neglected friends, which I am truly, very sorry :( Sometimes I get to caught up with my activities and other friends, I seem to put some aside. Always remember, I appreciate you loads! From DJ, CF, scouts *squels*, RR, NSCFL Camp 09' (FTW!), Impact/B2B, the numbers are crazy ;)

Meeting new friends.

While sustaining old ones ;)

Number 2

Body.

HAHAHAHHAHHAHA. I am still a bit upset with the muscles I lost this December, cause I completely stopped my workout since NSCFL Camp due to all the activities. Which I actually think, is the reason why I lost 4KG. :( But not to worry! Cause I'll be having a secret place to work out :-) Anybody wanna follow? =P Hopefully it'll last!

Just some simple bizz on my Christmas in Singapore, they had this throw-your-ball-into-the-river thing which writes your New Year Resolutions.

It's a freaking river full of blown up balls! This picture alone cannot describe it.

And this, was my resolution. HAHAHAHA.

Wee Family 09'

and..

Number 1

You guessed it. GOD :)

He's my priority in my life. Everything I do, should be in His name. And His name should be glorified! And in 2010, I should put my energy into..

Recess Revo!
CF Camp 10'!
and being a pioneer of.. School Christian Fellowship Malaysia Blog :)

And being more involved with Impact! Well, here's a tricky part. But have I mentioned that I'm actually from SIBKL? Well, I have my reasons of not going to youth there see. So I go to Impact :D But sometimes I feel torn apart. My prayer is that God will resolve this in 2010!

In conclusion,

I hope that,

2010 will be FTW.

Guess Who?

Food Blog Attempt - Penang

1

Written on Wednesday, December 09, 2009 by Jason Wee

5 - 7, Cititel Penang, 2kg put on.

First stop - Ipoh. You know there's this fat Hong Kong food host? Well, he ate here before. And the taugeh was really nice, according to family. Chicken wasn't that good. Kuetiau was normal.

Still at Ipoh, we got recommended a Tau Fu Fa shop nearby which was in fact, REALLY GOOD. So so soft you can fly up to a funny mountain :)

Missed a picture of it in a bowl.  We then headed to Penang, and visited my mum's old house.

Yes, this is it. Raised to the ground and turned into a parking lot :(

After we checked in, we went to search for some cendol :) Which we knew we hit gold when we saw such a big crowd in an alley.

It was so busy that I couldn't get a photo of the cendol I ate cause we had to take it fast. It was actually pretty nice, but they did it so fast until there wasn't really enough ice :(

We then went into the shop next to it, which was selling Char Koay Teow and Lobak. CKT wasn't that good. Lobak was nice and juicy.

For dinner, we went to a must in Penang, Gurney Drive. Honestly I can't remember going there when I was young.

Food we ordered :

Grilled sting ray, which was just okay okay only. Nothing special.

Fried oyster. Well there wasn't much oyster in it. It was mostly fried egg. But the egg was just PERFECT. Must try! :D

Raw octopus. Err.. I didn't eat this.

Rojak. Mum said it was average.

Saw this in a store. Dad didn't want to try :( HAHA.

Satay was very meaty! And the bacon was NICE.

I like this shot! Doesn't it look like some ad? :D The CKT at Gurney wasn't nice. Chow Yang's CKT was still top at the moment.

So 2 CKTs has been tried, but nothing can beat our own PJ CKT? Well, a must try in Penang, goggle aunty CKT!

As you can see, the aunty wears some goggles to fry. She's located in Lorong Selamat, right at the corner. It's the same row as Tune Hotel. There's this other uncle who tries to copy the goggle wearing thing, but his CKT isn't that nice, according to recommendations.

The normal waiting time during busy hours is 1 1/2 hours. But we went around 3, but we still had to wait for 45 minutes -.- But it was worth the wait!

Look at the size of those prawns! The taste and starchyness of the koay teow was soo good :) Verdict - beats Chow Yang! MUST TRY.

Then for dinner, we went to this nasi kandar street store. Apparently it was supposed to be very good. Verdict?

Kayu beats it anytime. While I was eating, there was this ANNOYING CAT that was begging me for some food. I MEAN IT'S EYES. For a moment I just wanted to give it some of my chicken and make it go away. In the end, my dad had to chase it away for me. HAHA.

For our 2nd dinner (pfft), we went back to Gurney, cause we haven't tried a lot of things there yet. And my mum wanted some rojak!

From another store. But my mum says it still can't beat DJ's.

Also, pasembur which was really hard. But the next one I LIKE.

MUAR CHEE! And it was still warm when I was eating it! NOM NOM NOM.

My dad had bubur cha cha, but it wasn't that attractive. So yes, my attempt at food blogging! Er.. hope you enjoyed?

I'm giving a heads up to disgusting yet quite funny photos of my teeth below! It's pretty gross if you ask me  =p

So yes! If you have met me face to face before, of course you would have noticed my not-so-nice teeth. This is due to overcrowding and it's time for braces! So before this I've been to three other orthodontists but I chose a clinic called, Smile Clinic :D I love its modern ID and they have hand sanitizer everywhere!

Well currently my mouth is in horrid distress and the discomfort is added on with some mold on my molars :( Dr. Chew says my bite is too deep. Meh. So here comes the horrible before photos!

I warned you! See so horrible right! And if you're wondering what those green stuff are, it's separators I put pre installment. Yes I know the 3rd picture super syok. Haha! So my teeth now are like..

Huhuh. Looks sorta like an ad, no? I'm using Damon braces, not your normal tie not braces. Apparently it's supposed to be more effective and have faster treatment time. It just clips on the wire like this!

Should be taking it out by around March 2011. Don't laugh.
