Ridiculous

Badminton has been the star sport of Malaysia? Agreed?

Well if you have read the newspapers for the past weeks, you have seen that Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) started to send out more rookies into competitions with the intention of bringing up a new generation of strong players.

Yes, of course that's a good action, but that's for like say.. the 2012 London Olympics? Who on earth is thinking about the 2020 Olympics?

For most people who are reading this, you would be in SKTM. Or was. Have you ever noticed that badminton was never a guaranteed sport in an individual class' PJ lesson?

Some teachers might let, and some teachers wouldn't. Like in this year's 6M case,

all of a sudden Cikgu F banned our badminton, and me being the ONLY guy that plays badminton, unlike other classes, has to go back to .. football.

So what did I do? I went to our headmistress and told her about this and she fixed it straight away. And we got our badminton back, and everybody's happy.

But WHY am I blogging about this now?

Cause of the Year 6 sports competition that is going to be held. When our class teacher mentioned it, only FOOTBALL and NETBALL were going to be held for both guys and girls for each sport.

Do you even see the title of the backpage of STAR saying "MALAYSIA SCORES AGAINTS BRAZIL"? I'm not trying to say that its discouraging to play football and netball, but its just ridiculous.

Where is badminton? No where to be found. And how on earth is Malaysia going to built up a generation of strong badminton players without importing players from other countries without even trying to built up the chidren of today by even trying to provide the permission to play the sport and what more the facilities to do so!

So, a certain friend of mine went to see the Year 6 teachers and asked them to put the ridiculous considered 3rd sport into the competition that is going to be held.

But the most ridiculous thing I heard was,

Guys and girls are matching each other.

How stupid is that?

And just mentioning one thing, Sepak Takraw is our national sport right?
How to play ah?

Not offending the girls out there, but isn't it unfair and just darn plain wrong?
And is this considered as mix? Then say it mix lor!
